May 1, 2013. Troop Meeting at All Souls Church, from 7-8pm.
The Troop has been invited to go to the Spring Camporee in Hancock District. The event will be in the Town of Gouldsboro. The Theme is “Scout Vs. Wild”. Information will be e-mailed. This will be an organized event and we will bring. This is the last camping trip of our regular season, before Scout Camp. We will be setting aside time to finish advancements for our Spring Court of Honor. If your scout is close to it, make sure he gets with an older scout, or one of the adults, so his work can be recognized.
Please commit to going to the camporee at this meeting, for planning purposes. let Mr. Morrison know if you are going. Money and permission slips are due at the May 8 meeting, no exceptions please.

We will continue practicing for the Camporee events and get our menu and other patrol plans complete for the weekend. Permission slips and money are due at this meeting. Mr. Morrison is in charge of this event, for the planning side.
May 10-12, 2013. Spring Camporee. As usual, we will leave at 4pm from the Church and be back to Family Dollar between 10-10:30am.
May 15, May 22 and May 29, 2013. Rank Advancement. During these three Scout Meetings, from 7-8pm at All Souls Church, we will work on Tenderfoot, Second and First Class requirments and take care of any final summer camp preparation. For those boys that are First Class and above, please be prepared to teach/refresh skills for the other boys.
MERIT BADGE & GENERAL INFORMATION:
If anyone is interested, a Scouter from Kennebec County has supplied Troop 10 with the materials for the Stamp Collecting Merit Badge. Contact Mr. Morrison if you are interested. We would need a volunteer to be the Merit Badge Counselor.
The Troop is looking for adult volunteers to get involved with the direction of the group. A great way to get involved is to go on an outing, help plan and run an activity for the Troop, or use an interest you have to teach boys a Merit Badge.
Citizenship in the Community. This is for any scout in the Troop. KEEP IN TOUCH WITH YOUR MERIT BADGE COUNSELOR FOR THE SCHEDULE.
Merit Badge College. There are two events, one in Machias, and one sponsored by Pine Tree Council in Manchester. These are definitely worth the time. See the Katahdin Council Web Page for details www.katahdinareabsa.org
Camp Cards: Sell Camp Cards! If any adults would like to set up times to sell cards at some of the locations where they are used, please let the Committee or Scoutmasters know. See council web page for details on the special recognition available for card sales. LIKE A FREE WEEK OF CAMP!!!!
TURN ALL MONEY OR CARDS IN BY JUNE 5th, which is our final meeting of the year. This is the final date for any card sales or returns. Please turn money or cards in to Mr. Morrison prior to, or at this meeting.
